Q: I want to buy a bag but I don't want to use PayPal. What can I do?
A: Totally understand! First thing to do - send an email to MorePockets@gmail.com
and tell me EXACTLY which bag you would like. The bag will go on hold pending payment.
Send a check or money order to More Pockets P.O.Box 288, Berkeley, CA 94701. Once the
check has cleared, your bag will be mailed.
Q: Do you take special requests?
A: Ummm actually, yes. That's a recent change. So go to the Collaborative Bags page to find out more.
Q: Do you ship outside the U.S.?
A: Shipping
prices would increase, but, yes, purses may be shipped outside the United
States. Just email for an
exact price.
Q: What about Sales Tax?
A: "All prices of
taxable items include sales tax reimbursement computer to the nearest
mill." Isn't that all nice and legal? It's from the State Board of
Equalization.
Q: How do I clean my bag?
A: More Pockets bags are made from upholstery
fabric. The safest way to clean them is to carefully
test the fabric on a hidden inside section. If it's safe, spot clean the
bag with warm water and mild soap. Do not try to machine wash and
dry your bag. Personally, I Scotchgard mine. But then I'm a mess
and don't mind the chemicals.
Q: Why snaps?
A: It's a
personal thing, really. I carry a bus pass and a BART pass both of which I
have lost to demagnetization on more than one occasion. So I won't buy a
bag with a magnetic clasp. And I won't make one either. I don't use
zippers because they get caught and snag and I tend to over fill my bags anyway
and they just won't close.
Q: What's with the big back pocket on
all of your bags?
A: I alwasy carry a book with me. This way I
know where it is at all times and I can get to it immediately if I have some
down time to read.
Q: Will you make me a purse with fabric I send
you?
A: Unfortunately I can't work with someone else's fabric. But I have TONS of fabric. If you email me and tell me what you are looking for I might have something that would work. Check out the Collaborative Bags page for more information.
Q: You had a clutch six
months ago in this cool purple fabric with green dots. Unfortunately, I
didn't buy it. Will you make that bag again for me?
A: Email More
Pockets with a detailed description of what you're looking
for. If I still have enough fabric, it's possible. But there is no
guarantee.
Q: Can I order 100 purses for my shop?
A:
Wow. That's a whole lot of production all at once. If there are 100
purse for sale on the site, then you are more than welcome to buy them
all. But right now More Pockets is not making that level of
production. But thanks for the compliment.
Q: Did the prices of your bags change?
A: Yes. The prices on all bags have been dropped and shipping in the continental United States is now free. I'm referring to this as recession pricing but I think these are the prices that will be used for a good long time.
